Led by Mr. Ehsan S. Assad, Assistant Vice President of Treasury and Banking, the tour highlighted the conversion of barren land into a green area and the significant increase in the utilization of solar energy, now providing over 20% of the plant’s power requirements.
Additionally, Naurin Muzaffar, accompanied by Dr. Abdul Wahab and Adnan Ahmad, highlighted Crescent Bahuman Ltd.’s pioneering efforts in eco-friendly initiatives, including the establishment of Pakistan’s first biological wastewater treatment plant in 1994. This facility has played a crucial role in reducing environmental impact, leading to a decrease of over 30% in water usage per garment and a significant reduction in water effluent.
Minister Romina Alam commended Crescent Bahuman Ltd.’s sustainable practices, such as the utilization of innovative fabric technologies like “Blue Infinity” and “STAR,” as well as the plantation of 850,000 trees.
